Athletes fighting for 4 gold medals under karate today

KATHMANDU: Athletes are competing for four gold medals in the karate event of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) on Wednesday.

According to the 13th SAG Organizing Committee, two matches will be held under individual karate event while the other two will be held under group-wise kumite.

With the results of 15 gold medals already declared, Nepal has bagged nine gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals under the karate event. Bangladesh and Pakistan have won 3 gold medals each.

Nepal had won 14 gold medals in the eight SAG held in Nepal.

There are 19 gold medals under the karate event this time.
