Four laborers trapped in Bajhang hydro tunnel found dead

CHAINPUR: Four laborers who had gone missing after being trapped in an under-construction tunnel of the 65-megawatt Kalanga Hydropower Project at Bungal of Bajhang district have been found dead.

According to DSP Ganesh Bam at District Police Office, Bajhang, a rescue team of Nepal Army that had reached there from Kathmandu, found them dead some 1,300 meters from the tunnel’s opening.

The deceased are Karna Bahadur Shahi, Mahendra Bahadur Shahi of Daileksh, Mahendra Saud of Achham and Shershing Dhami of Bajhang, police said.
