National ID card important for security, says NCP Chair Dahal



CHITWAN: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has emphasized the importance of national identity card especially for the general people stating that it has long-term strategic importance from all points.

The cards would be useful in all aspects such as good governance, development, and security.

Inaugurating the Field Office of the Department of the National Identity Card and Civil Registration in Chitwan on Wednesday, NCP Chairman Dahal informed that discussions were underway among the political parties and the government about the issues to produce and distribute nation ID cards.

The distribution of national identity cards will begin after completing all necessary process, he said.
