Over 4,000 get citizenship certificates from mobile camps



HETAUDA: The District Administration Office (DAO), Makwanpur, has provided citizenship certificates to 4,373 people through mobile camps launched several times targeting remote and rural areas.

Women, aged people and those from economically and socially backward communities were mostly benefitted by the camps. Women recipients outnumbered the males as 2,721 females acquired the citizenship certificates and the number of males was 1,652.  Such type of camps had been organized 12 times during the last fiscal year.

According to Chief District Officer Asman Tamang, a total 16,659 citizenship certificates on different categories were issued last fiscal year.
