Police involved in swindling Canadian job aspirant of Rs 2.6 mln



KATHMANDU: A police constable was found involved in swindling a Nepali youth of Rs 2.6 million by promising him a Canadian visa.

Four individuals including Dinesh Karki, a police constable of Area Police Office, Bardibas has been arrested for his involvement in the case. Other arrested include Yogesh Sapkota, Sachin Baral and Jivan Bhattarai.

Human Trafficking Bureau of Nepal Police has been looking into the case. Karki had taken Devendra Rokka of Myagdi to Delhi. The racketeers had robbed Rokka’s parents of Rs 2.6 million by drugging them.
