Nepal’s civil aviation will meet ICAO standard: Minister Bhattarai

BHADRAPUR: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai today said that Nepal’s civil aviation mechanism will meet the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standard in the next 10 years.

Speaking at an interaction organized to discuss the master plan for upgrading and extending Bhadrapur Airport, Minister Bhattarai said that the government was working on extending and upgrading the country’s airports to meet the ICAO standards.

He said the government would upgrade the Bhadrapur Airport as per the advanced master plan informing that the and acquisition process for the same was underway as additional 100 bighas of lands were required.
