At least 3 die in temple wall collapse in Bihar

PATNA: Three people were killed and several others injured when a temple wall collapsed in Samastipur of Bihar during Chhath Puja celebrations today.

Several people have been feared trapped under the debris, Indian media reports have said.

A rescue operation is underway, police said.

Authorities, however, fear that the death toll may go up as several may have been buried under the debris of the collapsed wall of the Kali temple in Badgaon village.

The government has, meanwhile, announced a compensation of IRs 4 lakh for the families of the deceased. (Agencies)
