Two arrested with IRs 800,000 in Nepal

BIRGUNJ: Armed Police Force has arrested two persons with 800,000 Indian currency notes on Tuesday.

The arrested are Abhishek Shraff, 39, of Birgunj Metropolis-6 and Bishnu Shrestha, 33, of Birgunj-10.

APF Inspector Umesh Kumar Karki said that they were arrested while they were entering Nepal from India on a motorcycle, Na 9 Pa 148. The money was concealed in the helmet and their bodies.

The arrestees, money and the motorcycle have been handed over to Revenue Investigation Office, Pathlaiya for further action.

Carrying such a huge amount of Indian currency notes is illegal in Nepal.
