ACC U-19 Eastern Region: Nepal defeats China by 10 wickets



KATHMANDU: Nepal has defeated China by 10 wickets at the ACC U-19 Easter Region Cricket Tournament held at Kinrara Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Wednesday.

Nepal reached the 54-run target in five overs without losing any wickets. Pawan Sarraf top-scored with 46 runs including six fours and three sixes off 21 balls. Similarly, Rit Gautam made 10 runs off 10 balls . Sagar Dhakal was declared the Player of the Match.

Earlier, invited to bat first after losing toss, China had made 53 runs.

It notched up 53 runs losing nine wickets in 23.1 overs. Sagar Dhakal took six wickets giving away 19 runs in 9.1 overs while T Bhandari took three wickets conceding 15 wickets. Likewise, Kamal Singh Airee took one wicket.

Nepal will take on Singapore on Friday. The winners of  will play U-19 Asia Cup to be held in Sri Lanka from August 28.
