NC maintains lead with 1,370 votes in Dharan Sub-metropolis

DHARAN: Nepali Congress (NC) is taking lead in the vote-count of the by-elections in Dharan Sub-metropolitan City.

Of the latest vote-count update, Tilak Rai of Nepali Congress has obtained 23,000 votes while his closest rival of Nepal Communist Party Prakash Rai has secured 21,000 votes.

The vote counting of only three wards out of 20 is remaining. Currently, the vote counting of ward no. 3 is underway. Votes of ward no. 1 and 2 are yet to be counted. A total of 10,000 votes are yet to be counted.

NC is likely to win the elections in Dharan Sub-metropolis this time. Earlier, then CPN-UML had won the elections.
