Socialist Party Nepal registered at Election Commission

KATHMANDU: The Socialist Party Nepal, formed with the unification of the Federal Socialist Forum Nepal and Naya Shakti Party Nepal, has been registered at the Election Commission of Nepal on Friday.

The Election Commission’s meeting decided to register the party, said EC’s Spokesperson, Shankar Prasad Kharel.

The Socialist Party had applied at the EC for its registration on June 13. The party was formed on May 6. It has 25 office bearers and 430 central members. With its registration, the number of political parties registered at EC has reached 131 in Nepal.
