RUPANDEHI: A 20-year-old girl died and her father injured in a road accident at Pakhapani of Butwal on Thursday, police said.
Pushpa Bhandari of Butwal-12 died when a tipper — Lu 1 Kha 6233 — heading towards west from Butwal hit the scooter — Lu 45 Pa 7234 — coming from opposite direction in Paklhapani of Butwal, according to the police.
Her father Ghana Shyam Bhandari, 47, was injured in the accident.
Police have detained the driver and impounded the tipper.
