KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has directed Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) to utilize science and technology for speedy development and economic prosperity.

Addressing the 42nd Senate meeting of NAST today, Prime Minister Oli, who is also the Chancellor of NAST, asked NAST to carry out works in an innovative way for the country’s development and prosperity.

Today’s meeting also endorsed the policy and program of the fiscal year 2018/19, and approved a budget of over Rs 300 million.

Likewise, the meeting also passed NAST’s annual report.

The NAST is set to launch its own satellite on April 17.
