Siddhababa suffers ‘heart attack’, police returns empty-handed



BIRATNAGAR: Krishna Bahadur Giri alias Siddhababa accused of raping his follower has suffered a ‘heart attack’. The district court has already issued an arrest warrant against him.

Doctors attending to him at the Biratnagar-based Birat Nursing Home have kept him at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital saying he has suffered a cardiac arrest.

A police team had reached the hospital to arrest him. But, doctors didn’t allow arresting him. A team led by DSP Binod Sharma at District Police Office, Sunsari has reached the hospital to arrest Giri at around 3 pm on Sunday.

Giri has been accused of raping his follower at his ashram in Chatara of Sunsari district on October 21. A rape case was lodged against him at the court on Thursday.
