Vote-count update: NCP wins 23 ward chairs, NC 11, Samajwadi 4, RJP 3

KATHMANDU: The vote-count of by-elections held for 52 vacant posts is underway in a peaceful manner. Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is taking lead clinching wins in many posts of ward chairpersons followed by the main opposition Nepali Congress.

Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has won in 23 places, Nepali Congress in 11 places, Samajwadi Party has won in four places and Rastriya Janata Party has won in 3 places, according to latest vote-count results. An Independent candidate won in one place.

Vote counting is underway for ward chairman in Dharan-7.
