6 killed in ambulance-truck collision in Sunsari



SUNSARI: Six people were killed in a road accident that occurred at Haripur of Koshi Rural Municipality in the district on Sunday morning.

The deceased have bee identified as ambulance driver Rajesh Danuwar, Durga Dhan Rai, 34, Tekendra Rai, 28, Tul Bahadur Rai, 50, Dinesh Rai, 31, and Mukesh Rai, 35.

The accident took place when the ambulance carrying a dead body from Biratnagar to Udayapur collided head-on with a truck this morning, said DSP Binod Sharma of District Police Office, Sunsari.

Police said they are investigating the case.
