4.5-magnitude quake rocks western region



KATHMANDU: An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale jolted the western region on early Friday.

According to the National Seismological Center, Launchaur, the tremor was recorded at 3.51 am with its epicenter near Khungkhani of Tamang Rural Municipality in Baglung.

Tremors were felt in Kaski, Baglung,  Myagdi, and Parbat, said District Police Office, Baglung.

However, no casualties have been reported.

Earlier, on October 28, a 4.1-magnitude tremor had been felt with its epicenter in Mugu.
