No mobile phones during office hours, Minister tells TIA staffers

KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has instructed Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) staff not to use their mobile phones during office hours.

Referring to pictures of some staffers found to be using social media and sleeping during office hours, Minister Bhattarai directed TIA officials to take action against such employees.

Speaking at a program in Kathmandu today, Tourism Minister Bhattarai said that the government would install some more CCTV cameras to ensure improved surveillance at the TIA since it was directly connected to Nepal’s image.
