Curd worth Rs 70 mln sold on Asar 15

KATHMANDU: Curd has sold worth Rs 70 million in a single day. Asar 15  (June 30)which is celebrated as the rice day in Nepal. The Day is celebrated by eating beaten rice and curd.

The demand of curd is 10 times higher than the normal day on Asar 15. The consumers started buying the curd one day earlier to avoid curd shortage.

According to curd traders 700,000 liters of curd worth Rs 70 million were sold on Asar 15 this year. Curd costs Rs 100 per liter in average.
