Rain, thunderstorm expected during afternoon



KATHMANDU: The weather will be partly to generally cloudy across the country including the Kathmandu Valley due to westerly wind and thunderstorm accompanied with rain are expected in the afternoon, said Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

With low pressure and pre-monsoon gradually becoming active, rainfall accompanied with gusty winds are possible in the eastern region. The sky is overcast with chances of rainfall accompanied  with gusty winds in the afternoon during the pre-monsoon.

According to the MFD, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy tonight with chances of light to moderate rain in the eastern and at a few places of the central parts of the country.

Sunday will be partly to generally cloudy through the country with thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds and lightning in most parts of the country.

According to latest temperature details, the minimum temperature of Kathmandu is recorded at 19 degree Celsius while maximum will be 29 degree Celsius.  The highest temperature is recorded in Nepalgunj with 40 degree Celsius.
