Traffic police fines driver of jeep escorting ex-PM Chand

KATHMANDU: Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD) has fined the driver of the jeep, Ba 1 Jha 9527, escorting former Prime Minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand for reckless driving.

MTPD fined driver Santosh Ghimire Rs 500 for reckless driving after a video of the security escort vehicle belonging to the Armed Police Force hitting a scooter went viral on social media.

Earlier, ex-PM Chand had apologized to the scooter rider for the mishap.
