PM Oli inspects windstorm-hit areas

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Monday made an aerial inspection of the windstorm-hit areas of Bara district. The prime minister reached the disaster-hit areas cutting short his Jhapa trip.

Press Coordinator to PM Oli, Chetan Adhikari said that the prime minister directed the authorities to carry out rescue and relief works effectively.

PM Oli also reached the Kalaiya-based District Hospital and took stock of the health condition of the injured. On the occasion, Dr Sachendra Kumar Yadav apprised the prime minister of the health condition of those admitted at the hospital. He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Upendra Yadav and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa.  Following the visit, the team led by the prime minister left for Birgunj to meet with the injured at the Narayan Sub-regional hospital.
