Child drowns in pond



RAJBIRAJ: A girl child has been found dead in the pond in front of the Shiva temple in Kanchanrup Municipality-8, Saptari. Yasika Pariyar, the 11-year-old daughter of Dilip Pariyar of ward no. 4 in the municipality was found dead on Saturday evening.

According to the Area Police Office, Kanchanrup, Yasika had gone for a bath in the pond when she went missing.

Police and locals worked together to search for her but was unfortunately found dead, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Makendra Mishra.
