JANAKPURDHAM: The State-2 government has decided to add 305 more isolation beds to accommodate the increasing number of coronavirus patients in the province.
A meeting of the State-level coronavirus prevention and control directive and coordination committee took a decision to this effect considering the possibility of increase in the number of patients.
The isolation beds will be managed at various hospitals and health facilities in the province.
While 50 isolation beds would be added at Siraha Hospital, some 30 beds will be added at the Mahendra Genai Hospital.
Likewise, the Gaur Nursing Institute will have 30 more beds, 25 in the Pokhariya Hospital in Parsa, 50 isolation beds in Bhardaha Hospital, Saptari, and 25 isolation beds would be set up at Ramnarayan Yadav Nursing College.
Similarly, 50 additional isolation beds would be added at Sai Krishna Medical premises and 50 additional isolation beds at the Bardibas Hospital.
A total of 181 quarantine facilities with 5,697 beds are currently in the State. Some 3,362 people are quarantined.
