Three children from same family die in Hatuwagadhi fire

A fire in Hatuwagadhi-7, Patlepani, Bhojpur, has claimed the lives of three children from the same family. According to Inspector Dal Kumar Rai of Bhojpur District Police Office, a 7-year-old, a 6-year-old, and a 3-year-old child from the same family died in the blaze. He informed that a team under Inspector Bikram Shah’s command has gone to the incident site.

PM Dahal vows entrepreneurship promotion and economic reforms through private sector engagement

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has emphasized the promotion of entrepreneurship through private sector participation. Speaking at the prize distribution ceremony for the ‘Golf Championship’ organized by Barhakhari Media in Pokhara, he announced plans to launch thousands of startup and entrepreneurship programs. PM Dahal highlighted the need for policy-level reforms to address issues such as low credit flow, declining middle-class consumption, and low capital expenditure.

Ruling coalition’s task force submits draft of common minimum program

The task force of the ruling coalition has submitted a draft of the Common Minimum Program (CMP) to the key leaders of the alliance members for consideration. The task force comprised Vice Chairman Bishnu Poudel and Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Rimal from CPN-UML, Barsaman Pun and Janardan Sharma from the Maoist Center, and Swarnim Wagle and Mukul Dhakal from the Rastriya Swatantra Party. Representatives from the Janata Samajbadi Party included Manish Suman and Rajendra Shrestha, while Pramesh Hamal and Ghanshyam Bhusal represented CPN-Unified Socialist.

CPN-Maoist Center and Nepal Samajbadi Party have reached an agreement to merge their parties, marking a significant development in Nepal’s political landscape. Following a crucial meeting between key leaders of both parties, a joint press statement was issued announcing the decision to unite. Present at the meeting were Prime Minister and Chairman of Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Senior Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha, and General Secretary Dev Gurung.

Gold Smuggling Probe Commission recommends recognition for two officials

The Gold Smuggling Probe Commission has proposed that the government acknowledge the significant contributions of two officials in the gold smuggling case investigation. Deputy Director Santosh Poudel has been singled out for his instrumental role in the investigation. Over a span of 18 days, Poudel played a pivotal part in the arrest of 21 individuals, conducted raids at 11 locations, and successfully tracked the whereabouts of fugitives, among other critical tasks.

Former Vice President Pun’s son Dipesh taken to Butwal for investigation on cooperative fraud

Former Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun’s son, Dipesh Pun, who was arrested on charges of gold smuggling, has been put under investigation for cooperative fraud in Butwal. He was apprehended in Kathmandu and has been taken to Butwal for investigation on cooperative related frauds. In July, a total of 61 kilograms of gold was seized from the Tribhuvan International Airport office.

Police publicize suspects in Money Transfer operator shooting case

The police made the three Indian nationals arrested on allegations of shooting at the money transfer operator Nitesh Sah public on Saturday. District Police Office, Rautahat disclosed that 19-year-old Munif Kumar Yadav, 18-year-old Raj Kumar Paswan, and 20-year-old Chandrabhan Singh alias Chunu Kumar Singh, from Motihari Thana Chiraiya Dipahi Gaun-2 in Bihar’s East Champaran district, were arrested in the case.

Nepal Army clinches Koshi Province T20 National Cricket Championship title

The Nepal Army has clinched the title of the first edition of the Koshi Province T20 National Cricket Championship. In the final match held at the Baijanathpur Cricket Ground in Biratnagar-19 on Saturday, the Nepali Army defeated Karnali Province by nine wickets to claim the championship. Having won the toss and opted to bat, Karnali had set a target of 110 runs for the Army in the stipulated 20 overs.
