PM Dahal commends Nepalis’ achievements on the global stage



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has praised the remarkable achievements of Nepalis residing across the globe.

PM Dahal made these remarks during an event held in the federal capital to launch the book ‘Prof Surya Subedi: From Great Scholar to Nobel Prize’ this morning.

“In the era of globalization, Nepalis have ventured to different corners of the world, and many have achieved significant milestones. One such exemplary figure is Dr. Surya Subedi,” PM Dahal acknowledged.

Reflecting on his own experience, PM Dahal recalled seeking assistance from Prof. Dr. Subedi during the constitution drafting process and the review of various treaties signed by Nepal.

He emphasized Prof. Subedi’s invaluable contributions, particularly in finding middle-ground solutions for issues related to the MCC (Millennium Challenge Corporation).

PM Dahal highlighted that Prof. Subedi’s suggestions played a pivotal role in shaping Nepal’s approach towards the MCC, as they were earnestly considered and implemented.

As per information from PM Dahal’s private secretariat, Prof. Dr. Subedi has provided insights into Nepal’s democratic movement, contributed to the peace process in Cambodia, and offered expertise on various international legal issues.
