KATHMANDU: Putting an end to speculations about the postponement of Secondary Education Examinations (SEE), the National Examination Board (NEB) has clarified that the exams will proceed as scheduled, starting from the first week of Chaitra.

NEB Chairman Mahashram Sharma, speaking at an event organized by the Education Journalist Network Nepal (EJON), assured that the routine for the exams would be published by the first week of Magh.

Chairman Sharma also emphasized that the board would be responsible for question paper preparation and certificate-related tasks, while the provincial government would oversee exam administration and management.

Additionally, under the new curriculum, students must achieve a minimum of 35 points in each subject to pass the exams.

This year, a total of 489,444 students have registered, with 246,004 being male and 243,440 female.
