Weather: Snow likely in highlands, fog in Terai

KATHMANDU: A partial influence of western wind is currently noticed in Nepal, leading to a partial change in the hilly areas of the country.

Meanwhile, fog and mist have enveloped some parts of the Terai.

This afternoon, a similar partial change is expected in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the rest of the country will mostly experience clear weather.

There’s a possibility of light snowfall at a few locations in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces this afternoon.

Rain is not expected today.

Meanwhile, the weather will mostly be clear over the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki, including Sudurpaschim and Lumbini tonight.

There might be light snowfall at one or two spots in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki and Koshi provinces tonight, according to the Division.
