Weather: Low-pressure system sparks diverse conditions

KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently under the influence of a western low-pressure system, bringing about diverse weather conditions across the country.

Currently, the country is experiencing a mix of partly to generally cloudy weather.

In Karnali, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, there are instances of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

This afternoon, hilly regions are likely to witness partly to mostly cloudy conditions.

The Weather Forecast Division has predicted predominantly clear skies in other parts of the country.

There is a likelihood of light rain with thunder and lightning in select areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces later in the day.

Additionally, the Division has noted a potential for light snowfall in the high hilly and Himalayan regions during the afternoon.

As night falls, there will be partial changes in the weather for Koshi and Gandaki, along with Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

According to the Division, there is a possibility of light snowfall at night in isolated locations within the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
