KATHMANDU: The current spell of precipitation is anticipated to persist until Friday, with the possibility of heavy rainfall occurring at isolated locations, particularly within the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, it will take a few days for the weather conditions to improve.

Senior meteorologist at the Division, Barun Poudel, stated that the ongoing precipitation is likely to continue until Friday, with the potential for heavy rainfall in specific areas, notably the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

As per the Division’s report, the skies are expected to be generally to mostly cloudy across the country today, with the chance of light to moderate rainfall in certain regions.

Likewise, heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is anticipated at isolated locations within the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudur Pashchim Provinces.

Tonight, the skies are predicted to remain mostly cloudy nationwide, and there is a likelihood of light to moderate rainfall in many areas of the country.

There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning occurring at one or two locations within the Koshi, Madesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces.
