KATHMANDU: The country is likely to witness light to moderate rainfall today.

Meteorologist Ganga Nagarkoti stated, “Chances of light to moderate rain exists, while heavy rain is unlikely this afternoon.”

According to Nagarkoti, the likelihood of light to moderate rain persists across certain areas within Koshi and Gandaki provinces, as well as a few locations throughout the rest of the province.

The night hours will be characterized by partly to mostly cloudy conditions spanning the entire country.

The chances for light to moderate rain prevails across select areas in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with a possibility of such conditions manifesting in one or two locations within the remaining provinces at night.

He urged people to take essential precautions to mitigate inconveniences and risks associated with potential health hazards, as well as damage to roadways and air transportation.

These measures are essential due to the looming threats of disasters like flash floods, floods, landslides, and riverbank erosion, Nagarkoti added.
