KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has asked Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) and Unified Samajwadi Party to participate in the government for what he said “protection and stability of the Constitution”.

Prime Minister Dahal discussed with JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav and Unified Socialist Chair Madhav Kumar at the former’s official residence in Baluwatar on the current political developments on Tuesday evening.

According to sources, PM Dahal is trying to avert any problem within the ruling coalition after the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) quit the government.

Therefore, PM Dahal has intensified political discussions considering the possibility of instability and failure of his government.

“RSP has quit the government, and it is not sure when it will withdraw its support to the government,” a source quoted PM Daha as telling JSP Chairman Yadav.

Although JSP has supported the Dahal-led government, it has not participated in the government.

“Yes, we discussed the latest political developments with the Prime Minister,” JSP Chairman Yadav said, adding, “We are still supporting the government.”
