Writ filed against Prachanda at Supreme Court

A writ against Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has been registered in the Supreme Court concerning the 10-year-long armed conflict-era cases. The writ was registered at the Supreme Court soon after the Maoist leaders warned of countering activities against the Comprehensive Peace Accord (CPA) and the political change in the country.

Gold price down by Rs. 300 per tola today

Gold price decreased by Rs 300 in the domestic market on Tuesday. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold is fixed at Rs 102,500 per tola and standard gold is traded at Rs 102,000 per tola.

President election: Silence period comes into effect

The silence period of publicity for the election of the President scheduled for March 9 begins today. The EC stated that the period of suspension of the election publicity in connection with the Presidential election has begun until the voting booths are closed on March 9.
