A five-member committee formed to  investigate Letang incident

BIRATNAGAR: A five-member committee has been formed to investigate the incident in which a police woman was killed in Letang, Morang.

The Biratnagar based Provincial Police Office has formed has formed a committee headed by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajendra Prasad Chaudhary to investigate the incident.

The committee has been directed to investigate all aspects of the incident and find the culprits.

SSP Chaudhary is working as the Chief of Crime Control and Investigation Division of Province 1.

Police constable Urmila Shrestha was killed in the clash that took place Sunday between the police and the locals defending the accused of sexual abuse of a female student in Letang.

Twenty-five policemen and seven civilians were injured in the incident.
