KATHMANDU: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Thakur Gyawali has claimed that the country had witnessed a noticeable decline in criminal activities due to the high surveillance adopted by the police department.

Speaking while inaugurating a newly-constructed barrack building of the Metropolitan Police Range in Jawalakhel today, IGP Gyawali said police now has been successful to bust the criminal gangs active in the Valley.

Likewise, Chief of Metropolitan Police Range Office, Lalitpur, Senior Superintendent of Police Tek Prasad Rai maintained that police have been successful to maintain law and order after the construction of the new building there.
