KATHMANDU: A new study has shown that major coastal cities around the world will be underwater by 2050.

Speaking in CBS This Morning talks show, Climate Central chief meteorologist Bernadette Woods Placky says sea levels are ever rising and will inundate Bangkok, Alexandria (Egypt) and Louisiana rendering 300 million people homeless in the next 30 years.

Similarly, New York City, New Jersey, South Vietnam, Mumbai (India) will be venerable to inundation.

Bernadette has suggested that we should inform everyone about climate change and encourage them to use sources of clean energy such as electrifying transport and heating system.
