Paras Khadka quits as captain of National Cricket Team

KATHMANDU: Paras Khadka has decided to resign as the captain of the Nepal national cricket team.

Khadka debuted as captain of the Nepali cricket team in 2009 in the ACC T-20 Elite Cup against Malaysia.

Under his captaincy, the Nepali cricket team bagged the title of Division 5, Division 4 and Division 3.

Likewise, Nepal also succeeded in the T-20 World cup in 2014. During his tenure, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted one Day International (ODI) status while Nepal won the One-Day series and T-20 series.

He is the first Nepali cricket player to hit the century in both the One-day international and T-20 international so far.

He is regarded as the most successful captain.

He made the announcement through his twitter.

Great to know that the suspension of Nepal cricket has been lifted and would like to wish the new committee to work for the betterment of Nepal cricket,players and its stake holders.
