KATHMANDU: A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday demanding an order to the government to seek the solution to the border dispute through a diplomatic route.

Advocate Kanchan Krishna Neupane moved the apex court naming the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Minister, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Defense among others as defendants.

The writ had demanded a mandamus order to the government for regaining lands encroached by India in Sutsa, Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limiyadhura.
