Kathmandu: Over 300 climbers have died since 1921 in more than 9 decades while scaling the Mount Everest – world’s highest peak measuring 8,848 meter-high.

As many as 11 climbers have already lost their lives this year alone.

Major causes of death are exhaustion, falls, altitude sickness, exposure to adverse wheather, avalanches and inexperience in mountaineering. (Agencies)
